Well Well accepts applications for new members on a rolling basis.
We are excited to invite applications for new members to join Well Well Projects, an artist-member collective gallery located in Portland, Oregon.
We review applications on a rolling basis and are always on the lookout for artists who bring fresh perspectives, positive energy, and a collaborative spirit.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking artists who are:
Enthusiastic about being part of a collective and contributing to a vibrant artistic community.
Able to share their skills and collaborate with other artists, offering good energy and a helping hand.
Unique in their creative approach, as we strive to avoid overlapping aesthetics within our membership.
Ideally located in or around Portland, but we are open to other areas in the Pacific Northwest if the fit is right.

ELIGIBILITY
Artists must reside in Oregon or Washington.
We accept artists working in all mediums and genres.
Collaborative artist groups are encouraged to apply and may split a membership.
HOW TO APPLY
To express your interest in becoming a member of Well Well Projects, please complete the application form below.
We do not charge a fee to apply to be a member.
Each artist must submit their own application, even if applying as part of a collaborative group intending to split a membership.
You’ll be asked to submit the following materials:
Contact Information: Name, Email, Website and/or Social Media Profile, and State of Residence.
Artist Biography: 150 words max.
Artist Resume: Up to 2 pages per artist.
MEMBER BENEFITS
As a member of Well Well Projects, you will receive:
One full calendar month of exclusive use of the entire gallery space to host a solo or group exhibition, with the option to curate additional programming.
Inclusion in member group exhibitions that take place both at Well Well and other galleries through exhibition exchanges.
E-mail announcements and vinyl window signage for your exhibition. Templates for printed gallery maps.
A dedicated artist page and exhibition page on our website.
Professional documentation of your exhibition by photographer Mario Gallucci, including high-res and web-ready images.
Inclusion in any publications or promotional materials.
100% of all artwork sales go directly to the artist.
MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure the collective thrives, each member is expected to:
Contribute monthly dues of $100 throughout the membership term.
Manage the delivery, installation, and insurance (optional) of their artwork for solo, group, or curatorial projects.
Gallery sit for the final weekend of their exhibition and for an additional 11–12 days over the 18-month cycle.
Return the gallery to its original condition after their exhibition closes, ensuring the space is clean and ready for the next installation.
Attend receptions, opening nights, and special events to foster community engagement.
Assist with promotion and other tasks related to their exhibitions.
ABOUT WELL WELL PROJECTS
Located in the Kenton neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, Well Well Projects is an artist-member gallery that supports emerging and mid-career contemporary artists through representation, solo and curated exhibitions, and innovative arts-focused programming.
We are a vibrant hub for artists and visitors in the Pacific Northwest and extend our reach beyond the region through open calls and diverse exhibition opportunities. Our mission is to foster innovation and build an inclusive space that challenges systemic inequalities such as racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, sexism, classism, and other forms of discrimination.
We strongly encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ community members, people with disabilities, and others who are underrepresented within the arts.
