Myths resonate across time, metamorphosing, dancing between continuity and change. As James Cahill aptly states, myths have the capacity to compress past and present. This exhibit takes a ghostly thread that leads deep into the past only to circle back around to an optimistic future-an ancient story of an imaginal entity made of stone, animal, and plant.

Meteorite Mama is an installation, a stage where a stoneware and neon effigy sits amidst illuminated glass pomegranates, strange creatures, and renderings of stone and flesh. Surrounding these elements are sound and video, illustrating narratives of an ancient past while hinting at future ways of being–a retelling championing hybridity and connectivity.

An immersive evening with Willow Gibbons, Hilary Horvath and Jessie Rose Vala. The night will open with an acapella performance by Willow Gibbons. After the audience will be given a beeswax coin and instruction on how to make a natural arrangement as an offering (curated by Hilary Horvath). This offering is up to the maker and can be taken home with you.

Willow Gibbons is a performance artist, creating from and playing with devotional states of consciousness.

Hilary Horvath is a highly experienced floral designer. Her shop Hilary Horvath Flowers in Portland OR creates arrangements inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest and the bounty of local growers.
