Heirloom Vases #3 (half of me loves half of you), Mixed media and collage on hand cut paper, 17 x 22 inches, 2019
Morgan Rosskopf (b. 1987) is a visual artist living and working in Portland, Oregon. Working primarily with paper, Morgan takes a collage-based, mixed media approach to building images. Her work meditates on romance, conventionality, and dissonance. Believing that truth and meaning lie in nuance, she overwhelms her drawings with information, hoping for revelation in chaos. Morgan received her MFA in Fine Art from the University of Oregon in 2013 and her BFA in Printmaking from Sonoma State University in 2010. She has exhibited in group shows throughout the United States and internationally in Tokyo, Japan (2015) and Manila, PI (2019). Rosskopf had her first solo exhibition, HEAVY POP, at One Grand Gallery in Portland, OR (2016) and her first international solo exhibition, Let Me Love and Steal, at Galerie Stephanie in Manila, PI (2018). She has received multiple grants from the Oregon Arts Commission, co-founded and served as Senior Designer of floral and event space Colibri, and taught illustration courses at PNCA.
